Unity Technologies is now receiving Pre-Orders for Unity Pro for Android

Unity Technologies has denoted that its Unity Pro for Android can now be pre-ordered. The company states that although customers worldwide are eligible to pre-order, phones will only be shipped to destinations in the United States, Canada, EU / EEA countries, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Switzerland.

It is said that the first 500 customers to pre-order Unity Pro for Android will get a chance to have 500 unlocked Google Nexus Onezcell phones. Unity Pro for Android, unveiled last month at Google I/O in San Francisco, includes all the features of their modern and complex technology.

Recently, Nicholas Francis, Chief Creative Officer of Unity Technologies said” "We firmly believe that the future of games lies in the web and mobile markets, and bringing Unity to Android gives our users easy access to a new and rapidly growing audience,"  and then continued "We're completely stoked that we managed to team up with Google so we can get a bunch of phones included with 500 pre-orders."

Some of the worth mentioning characteristics offered in the Unity Pro for Android are Android remote, single click deployment, built-in editor,  easy to use asset importing as well as extremely optimized graphics pipeline for openGL ES 2.0.  Being an additional license to Unity's currently available Unity Pro, Unity Pro for Android is expected to be priced at around $1500 for existing Unity Pro customers and about $2700 for newcomers.

As of late, the company has being working on Unity 3.0, the future version of its development platform for 3D interactive content on the Web, PC, Mac, Wii and iPhone. It is expected to be shown at the Game Developers Conference later this week. Unity 3.0 is said to bring fully integrated licensed technology, important updates to its rendering capabilities, its physics functionality as well as substantial improvements to its core systems to make targeting a number of different platforms more comfortable for developers.
