Kynetx Integrates with Twilio to enhance cloud based telecoms

Company Kynetx provider of the first development platform for implementing cross platform, and so called ‘ ’ context and event driven applications’ ’ , and producer of cloud based telecommunications ‘ ’ Twilio’ ’ have declared about joined efforts on new technological approach, based on Twilo API (Application Programming Interface).

The innovative integration makes it very simple to conjoin technologies together in event-driven, context-aware applications, and it is unsurpassed yet. These new apps are able to merge relevant data together from variety of sources, making the meaningful context-based outcomes, with interaction points on the phone, SMS or any computer URL. An example application has been demonstrated at the Utah Open Source Conference in Salt Lake City on October 8th by developer Sam Curren. Created in just a few hours, Sam’ s app fully integrated Twilio functionality with a Google spreadsheet and the Kynetx Platform to auction certain items trough phone call or SMS message. The app enables a user to dial in and receive a message listing the current bid, hear bidding instructions, then push a key in a bid for the item up for auction. When the bid is in, the caller acquires a confirmation on their high bid. As the integral background of the process, Sam’ s application integrates with a Google spreadsheet that operates as a management backup end showing bid history, allowing bid deletion and delivering contact information for the winning bidder. The bids also post to Twitter, enabling concerned individuals to follow the auction. The cloud-based Kynetx Rules Engine (KRE) makes applications to cover different websites and platforms and to integrate with web hooks and APIs, enebling such a virtual option for developers to factually “ program the Web,” using all available operating systems or browsers. The Twilio integration is one of the variety of new implementations now available for the Kynetx platform. “Using the Kynetx Rules Engine with robust APIs such as Twilio’ s allows programmers to create event-driven, connected apps that stretch from the web to the phone and back,” said Dr. Phil Windley, Kynetx Co-Founder and CTO. “ Kynetx applications that leverage APIs can achieve user purpose across devices and platforms in ways that have never been accomplished before.” “ With Twilio we’ ve created the foundation for a modern and flexible telephony and SMS service entirely based in the cloud,” said Jeff Lawson, Twilio CEO. “ The integration of Twilio with the Kynetx Rules Language gives our developers a scripting layer for Twilio telephony and SMS that expands application possibilities to new levels.”
