Mediacore Offers Softswitch Features

VoIP software company Speedflow has made some additions to its Mediacore Softswitch product, company officials said recently. It's an integrated tool for VoIP network management, featuring class 4 softswitch, dynamic routing engine, "billing with Internet and QoS control instruments from a single source," company officials say.

Mediacore contains routing and billing modules which allow the user to tackle all VoIP business processes - "each of the modules is a self-contained and full-fledged product, which is a distinctive feature of the Mediacore system."

Now, company officials have presented what they say are five features of the product that helps users stay ahead:

Linux based Class 4 Softswitch Mediacore with Multilevel Security Mechanism, Native SIP -- H.323 protocol converter and Efficient Financial Tools.

In other words, it’s designed to manage your traffic with on-line access to billing and immediate changes of routing.

Billing and Dynamic Routing. An efficient billing and routing system is a key success factor of VoIP business, company officials say: “The billing system offers complete calls statistics, connection quality reports, financial reports and other vital information. Lossless routing feature comes as standard.”

Trans-coding. It comes with high productivity and support of “absolutely all popular codecs -- G729 G723.1 G.729A G.729B G.729AB G711 G711-ALaw G711uLaw,” company officials say, adding that it has the flexibility of working with “all directions and suppliers.”

Guardian. The Guardian feature analyzes VoIP traffic, considering different directions and suppliers, which allows it to speed up and systematize the technical support operation, according to company officials: “This updated module of automatic notification (VoIP Trouble Ticket Automatic System (NOC TT) increases staff efficiency.”

Extended Algorithm of Dynamic Routing. The new routing algorithm, implemented in the Mediacore system, “forms the principle of smart routing,” company officials say – “the Access Level option provides the possibility of more efficient interaction between carriers and their customers, and the implementation results in significant capital gains.”

The Access Level feature offers more flexible and selective routing management as well, since it’s designed to provide more efficient control over the possibility of calls for some groups of customers or vendors and destinations.
